America’s Wall of Honor: Honoring US Military & First Responders

By Dan Stuenzi

An amazing work of memorial art was recently completed in Omaha, Nebraska, and is getting ready to tour the United States! It’s called America’s Wall of Honor, and it pays tribute to every member of the U.S. Military, and every First Responder in both Law Enforcement and Fire and Rescue.

THE MISSION

Our Mission is to honor our American Heroes who provide and protect our freedom and our safety. After all, Freedom is not Free! They are willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of their fellow citizens, and we owe them our lives. We also want to educate children, young people, and adults about true American history and values throughout the nation, and restore strong patriotism and Love of Country for Faith, Family, and Freedom.

THE ARTIST and THE BUILD

This work of art was commissioned by our non-profit organization to be designed and built by renowned memorial artist, Timothy Lampros, who designed and built the LAPD “End of Watch” Memorial Wall a few years ago, in honor of the fallen officers of the Los Angeles Police Department.

America’s Wall of Honor is 57’ long x 10’ high, and bears nine Seals that represent our Heroes. The Wall includes military Seals for Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and National Guard; plus the Presidential Seal for the Commander in Chief; plus Seals representing Law Enforcement personnel, and those who serve as Firefighters and EMTs.

Every Seal, designed by our artist, is built from hundreds of pieces of stainless steel, which are formed into dozens of layers, powder coated for permanent color, and mounted to acrylic glass layers that are embedded with LED lighting. The Presidential Seal, for example, is 53 inches in diameter, weighs more than 500 pounds, and contains 607 pieces of stainless steel! There are over 200 pieces just in the Eagle and its wings. There is no other work of art like this in existence!

THE UNVEILING EXPERIENCE

During 2023, America’s Wall of Honor will travel to different parts of the country including small towns, larger cities, and special events in what is called its “Unveiling Tour.” The Wall is unveiled through a very moving ceremony which includes an Honor Guard, the National Anthem, the Pledge of Allegiance, and a Prayer. Then a production begins that involves videos of the history and bravery of all the Heroes being honored, accompanied by special lighting and impactful music, a moment of silence for their sacrifice, and an inspiring conclusion that inspires every guest to become part of America’s “Patriot Thunder.”

This Unveiling Tour will be used to announce the existence of this Wall of Honor to the public, and raise funds for a second tour called the “Patriot Thunder Tour” which will tour all 50 states of the nation for five years, from 2024 through 2028. As you may know, year 2026 is the 250th anniversary of the United States of America! During that monumental year, we will visit all 50 states for 4 days each to share the celebration of our beloved Country.

THE FAMILY EXPERIENCE IN PATRIOT VILLAGE

During the Patriot Thunder Tour, America’s Wall of Honor will be accompanied by several mobile museums and education centers. Each museum/education center in Patriot Village is made from a 53’ double-expandable trailer that provides approximately 1000 square feet of space for each exciting experience.

The first unit of Patriot Village is called the American Patriot Education Center. It is built to educate children and young people on the true history of America, our Constitution, our Flag and National Anthem, our Founding Fathers, and importance of Patriotism. Teachers will travel with the center to read relevant books to the youngest, and help the older children with workbooks that teach love of our Country.

The second unit is called the Military Heroes Education Center. This center focuses on all branches of the Military with uniforms, equipment, medals, and endearing military artifacts. It also teaches the public about the suffering caused by Post Traumatic Stress, and will help raise money for those organizations that are helping our veterans and first responder heroes overcome its impact on their lives.

The third unit is called the First Responder Heroes Education Center. This center focuses on First Responders in both law enforcement and fire and rescue with uniforms, equipment, medals, and other tributes.

The fourth unit is the Spirit of America Mobile Art Museum which features works of realist art in many genres, created by American artists, and focusing on the themes of Freedom, Patriotism, our Military and First Responder Heroes, our True History and Founding Fathers, Hard Work, Charity, Family, Faith, the Beauty of America, and other elements of our uniqueness as a Nation. Art teachers will provide patriotic art projects for visiting children and young people to complete and take home with them. We will also promote patriotic art contests throughout the nation’s tour.

The fifth unit is the How America Works Education Center. The center is geared especially to high school students who are considering future career opportunities. The focus is on the many American trades such as carpentry, construction, steel working, welding, electrical, plumbing, farming, and many others. The goal is to let young people know that they can have a successful life without going to college. They might want to avoid activist education, big debt, and not being able to find a job. There is a great need for tradesmen and women in America, and it pays well.

In addition, we will have a Mobile Office which will serve for tour management and security; but will also contain a Podcast Studio where we will interview military veterans, first responders, and family members, and broadcast their stories throughout the Nation.
